It was seriously well rounded and not easy to beat, you could get unlucky very easily.

I used her to grind booster packs all the time as a kid. Just get any cards with self-destruct (particularly Magnemite or one of the Magneton cards) or other bench-damaging moves and you can often beat her on the second or third turn. That being said, if you didn't choose Charmander and Friends and you go to this gym early, you'll probably encounter some difficulty with her if you have bad luck.
