Not necessarily. I doubt they'd give it a Pokedex number that high in a game with only the original 151, so it might just be given a ??? designation, and not given an actual dex number until Gen VIII proper starts.

No. This asshole said that the trailer would be out on the SIXTH. Today is the 10th. Furthermore, MANY games on the Switch use motion controls with the Joy Cons, including third-party titles such as Xenoverse. It's not unreasonable to assume that LGPE will have the exact same thing as well. Long story short: The date is wrong, and the motion control thing was already probable based on past games.

Anybody would have guessed motion control moves since a) they need some equivalent for Z-Moves for Pikachu/Eevee, since Z-Moves are not available, b) they need some sort of incentive other than customization for you to bond with Pikachu/Eevee, and c) past Switch games, especially those produced by Nintendo, have used motion controls to affect the gameplay. For now I'll dismiss it as a fake until we get more info. The other stuff has yet to be proven real.

I want the post-game content with Megas, but I am not a fan of a whale Pokemon being distributed from Go to LGPE because 1) if you don't have Go, you can't get the Pokemon, and it's likely one per account anyway, and 2) the whale is likely Water-type, and we have plenty of those in Gen I. Meanwhile, we have at least 5 types that are underrepresented in Gen I.

We kind of have to. I doubt we're getting any Megas beyond Gen I. None of them are Electric-type. If Surge gets a Mega, it has to be a new one by default. (But more likely than not, none of the Gym Leaders will have Megas.)

GameFreak allways uses the mechanics of the actual console, so there wasn´t any doubt, they won´t use the jaycons for something like that.
