Erika has a Vileplume like in Red/Blue and her levels are higher!!The Starter can outspeed Starmie and will most likely KO it in 2-3 hits even without Pika Papow or Veevee Volley, the AI will likely play retarded so Starmie will be more likely to spam Swift or Rapid Spin, and in Erika's case you have an EXP Share active at all times from the very fucking beginning of the game that gives 100% of EXP to all six of your current Pokemon, and said EXP can be significantly boosted just by making quality catches on random wild Pokemon.
