Spin-off fun though, look to be disappointing mainline game wise

I could see myself having a good time with them while waiting for next gen though. Got the Pikachu version preordered.

I think they look fun, but mobile game tier fun. Bright, simple, filled with instant gratification. If these were mobile games, I'd probably buy them, maybe even look forward to them. My only problem with LGPE is that it is a full priced console game, and I'd feel bad to spend that much money on them. Granted, I'll probably waste that money in something equally as useless anyway, but still.

I think the chibi art style of the human characters look terrible, but that's just probably me hating on chibi stuff in general. I also don't like that they removed the black outlines to the 3d models, now they look plasticky

Honestly, I think they look cozy and fun. It's a simple and straightforward game which treads old ground in a new way, and Eevee finally has the spotlight it deserves. Competitive Pokemon is fine and all, but sometimes I want something more chill.
