Incineroar is the most featured Alolan final starter in the anime, having starred in at least 2 episodes so far. Decidueye and Primarina only got cameos. Furthermore, Litten is the only Alola starter on the main cast to evolve at least once.
>Pokken?Greninja wasn't in Pokken either, and take a look at how shilled it is.
>TCG?Incineroar is the only Alolan final starter Pokemon to receive two GX cards. The second one is Dark-type and is associated with a Dark special booster pack coming out soon. Curiously, a Fairy booster pack came out a few months ago, but Primarina didn't have a GX card in it. It's telling that Incineroar is getting featured in TCG more than the other starters, especially in that dark pack where it gets a GX card since there are plenty of Dark-types that could have gotten that card instead.
>Singles? Singles isn't the main meta. Yes, Incineroar isn't great in Singles, but then again that case can made for almost every single Starter. The only Starters that are actually viable in Singles are Blaziken and Greninja; everything else gets little to no use. (You have Mega Charizard Y, but that has more to do with the fact that it is a Mega with Drought, and not anything to do with Charizard in particular.)
>They will lose Smash too. There aren't that many Gen VII Pokemon that warrant getting a slot in Smash. Incineroar is by far one of the more popular ones though. Vergeben, who got some things right with his leaks, outright said Incineroar was the Gen VII rep. Furthermore, we have evidence on file that Incineroar is Masuda's favorite Pokemon from Gen VII, and how Incineroar's concept art for SM has far more detail on it than the other two starters. Incineroar is shown using maneuvers and techniques that it doesn't use in SM, hinting that this concept art is meant to be used as reference for a fighting game. And if it isn't Pokken, it's likely Smash.
