Of all the gym leaders, why did Misty and Brock have to tag along with Ash? Just because they're the first two gym leaders you face, so kids who only got an hour into the game would recognize them? Lieutenant Surge and Erica clearly would have been better choices. Lt. Surge would be barking orders at Ash the whole time and Erica would help relieve his stress with trance-inducing sessions of aromatherapy.
