I would like Pokémon a lot more if legendary and mythical Pokémon did not exist, or were uncatchable/trainer-only/plot-battle only.

It'd kinda be cool if legendary pokemon were just totally separate from regular ones. Same types and stuff, but more special moves with weird effects. There'd be a whole legendary battling mechanic where only legendary pokemon could be used. They'd all have effects like glitter and rainbows and shit. Or huge moves that break apart planets or rip open the universe for real and then you the trainer just fucking dies

Just make legends and mythics breedable and nerf their stats. Problem solved. As the name implies they should only ever have been plot relevant Pokemon with myths and legends tying them to their regions. Getting rid of them would suck since some of the earlier ones actually have good designs. I wouldn't want to play Pokemon if Mew, Ho-Oh, or Latios were retconned.

Box Legends and most of the Mythical Pokémon are fine. I would just remove all the sub legends besides the Regis, All the UBs, and Keldeo.

I sort of agree.
Its not that i dont like legendaries, it just makes sense.

As for mythical pokemon they should be kept cause they've never been all powerful and just really rare. There are some legendaries like this which is great. Ho oh and lugia, latios and latias were some of the last "tame" legendaries sometimes showing that more than one exist. But things like fucking dialga, palkia and Arceus are fucking stupid.

At least the ultra beast make sense. Theyre not fucking godsor titans, theyre interdimensional pokemon.

Best idea for the "god" Pokemon is just to think of them as just particularly powerful rare Pokemon - a Time Pokemon/Space Pokemon/Multitype Pokemon, that were worshiped by people in the past because of their power, and not because they really are gods of any sort.

I want them to stop being forced welfare catches in the story. They should be extremely hard to get.
Since gen 5 this aspect went to shit, at least Platinum had TWO roaming trios and Giratina itself was one of the hardest story catches in the series.

But it needs to be way, way harder to get them. And I don't mean locking them behind shitty mini-games, I'm talking Colosseum Ho-Oh type of shit, that kind of effort is what makes a legendary feel awesome to me.

Not only that but catching them has serious implications for the lore and world building. They are overpowered and overused in competitive too.

what is a problem is which of those legendaries are actually catchable, the amount of lore they're given and the side quests needed to catch them.
