Memes aside it's kinda dated battle wise. The Pokemon and animations look good but this can get repetitive and tiresome. If you played Colosseum you'll notice XD was stripped of its atmosphere and the protag is kinda lame. Still it's a neat experience, would definetly like to see a 3rd orre game

You can go straight to Gale of Darkness though but you miss references to the old game. Colosseum is still worth a play though, but outside of its atmosphere and setting it's aged worse than GoD.

Eh by dated I meant more in the battle system given that the game relies on the Gen 3 battle style albeit with the default battle being doubles. But if that isn't a problem then go for it.
Should also mention there's no wild Pokemon in Colosseum and it gets tedious at times.

Though GoD fixes much of these problems.

The devs of Colosseum and GoD did make a 3rd game called Battle Revolution but it's bad.

If you're playing Yellow you should the first 3D Pokemon battle game. check out Pokemon Stadium. Also try out Pokemon Snap, it has a very different gameplay but a cool setting and style.

I did play Battle Revolution back in the day, and as you mentioned: it sucks.

I'll eventually replay Snap, sure. But I'll check the two Stadium first. I used to play them as a kid but I never could beat the E4. I'm sure I'll enjoy them out of pure nostalgia
