>>36541830>>36541796Your whole point is using your opinions as arguments to state that the gen is bad mainly because you didn't personally enjoy the fact they limited the dex to new mons only.
And then proceed to draw the baseless conclusion that this is why the region is filled with rip-offs, when in fact only Gigalith and Conkeldurr can be considered deliberate analogues:
>same typings (except for Gigalith lacking ground)>shared main design features (rock monsters and bipedal bulky fighter)>incredibly similar stat distribution>1 shared "main" ability per line>3 stage liners>final evolution is by trading.I mean, it's clear where they were going with those 2.
The rest though? It's just reaching based on one or two similarities (not even close to "obvious") because they repeated an animal (god forbid!) and drawing conclusions from the sole fact the region was a fresh start.
So can we finally admit this whole thread is just people throwing their opinions at each other and using them to state something is "shit" or "great"?
Look man, I'm not even mad, just tired in general. I actually enjoyed a region filled with only new mons and how fresh everything felt, and I like the Unova dex a lot.
You didn't? You think it failed to feel fresh and most of the dex is shit for you? Good. I can respect that. It's just a person (or persons) with different tastes than me, I'm not gonna go around thinking everyone should be forced to appreciate what I like.
But I'm just so fucking tired of people making up arguments on mere assumptions as to desperately "demonstrate" why they're right. So fucking tired.
The last drop for me has been this "analogue" nonsense that is entirely supported by guesses and the "taboo" of reusing an animal. What the hell?
Don't even get me started on the "popularity = quality" this board likes to have so much.
By the way, obviously, I don't agree either with the other side calling genwunners to people who didn't like the gen.
It's all so tiresome.
