Spinoffs with new Monsters also don't count because Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness having Bonsly isn't Gen 4, same for Mystery Dungeon having Lucario. Adding new Pokemon doesn't make a Gen, especially to a franchise that doesn't even work like that. (For example Digimon are released individually or in groups, they don't have Gens.)
