I was disappointed with XY but I thought it was just the first iteration of 3D games so it was a little shaky. Then ORAS came out... then SM.... then the nail in the coffin was USM which almost made SM worse. Now LGBT. Pokémon is over.

It looks like they took the models from Go, maybe improved them a little bit(and I'm not even sure about that) and added better shadows while removing the dust cloud Go has when the Pokemon lands. In any case, it's just sad.

The overworld in Pokemon from gen 6 onward is a literal translation of the 2D worlds in earlier games and it makes everything seem so out of scale. It would be like doing a remake of the old DQ games where the proportions aren't changed at all, so that mountains and castles still look like they're only10 feet tall.

Lets Go is on a modified ORAS engine. SUMO is on the newest engine. Go was likely intended to be on the 3DS.

Gen 8 will either be on a modified SUMO engine, or maybe GF will not be lazy and make a real next gen game.

Because GF is run by a lazy pile of shit who can't get new workers nor pair up with any other competent studio which can pull out amazing graphics, animations, story or direction and we're getting the same fucking region for the fifth time with the exact same map but somehow fucked up the battle system, difficulty, characters, Pokemon roster, and features they've developed during 22+ years to appeal to the phone market and autistic children instead of actually improving their most iconic region and franchise and bringing a game which can pull off with games like Odissey and BotW.

Honestly, it would be better if they went out and just imitated the 3DS' style in HD. The Gen 7 games have a sort of striking cartoony aspect when the models are cel-shaded and outlined, while the plastic feel of Let's Go is just poor and doesn't carry an artstyle.
