The gimmick of Gen 8 is now a new device that allows you to switch out a Pokemon's secondary type for another by enhancing particular biological or behavioural traits (or, to add another where a secondary type did not exist). Alternatives are limited to types that are thematically appropriate, for instance, Tyrantrum can only have its Rock typing switched out for Dark (because tyrant). This device cannot be activated in-battle but is permanent until reverted.

What Pokemon would this apply to if the alternate types must fit thematically? Could this be a viable compromise between the (hypothetical) problem of having triple typings and certain Pokemon possessing traits that would fit a third (or fourth) type?
