Yeah as you can tell I do not like it, or Ash for that matter but that's a different story

It was literally just like Lapras in that Ash never intended to keep it. The arc was about sending Ultra Beasts back to their homes.

I can't stand it's screaming baby voice in the Japanese dub, so I was more than ready for it to leave at the end of the arc.

I thought Ash catching and keeping an UB was a neat idea at first, but seeing as it never accomplished anything besides painting some faces (did it even have a single battle?) it's not much of a loss.

Poipole is unironically improved in the dub just for not having that horrible screeching voice. I think even the Japanese producers realised it was awful because they seemed to tone down the screeching towards the end of the arc.

Poipole was great and had a lot of personality. It had solid consistent character development and added dynamic to an otherwise boring team of stoic cat/dog and comic relief birb. There was some promise with it using a move so I was hoping it would learn to battle someday.

It was fucked over so bad by Matsui and the rest of the cast. Even Poipole was crying at being written out of the show so suddenly, jesus christ.

No, but for comparison the last time Rowlet battled was against Olivia midway through the first season. Litten's last major fight came against Incineroar.
The show has been shilling Lycanroc as Ash's ace even though it's shit, with no other Pokemon battling Nanu. But none of that matters because even Lycanroc has had barely any fights in the Ultra Guardians saga.
Poipole was an unfortunate consequence of this overarching mentality.

I feel like Poipole will come back because they gave if Fury Attack and never used it. It's just like how Ash's Goodra learned Ice Beam not too long before Ash released it. Best case scenario would be that it evolved offscreen, but Ash recognizes it from the ultra guardians necklace he left Poipole with.
