Why the fuck is it that the battle spot still doesn't have an option for 6v6 single battles? The most common battle format used in the entire main game and its not readily available for online play against randoms? What the fuck is up with that?

But most trainers you encounter ingame have 3 or less pokemons.

Yeah but you are allowed to use a full team of six at all times. And there are multiple random npcs who will have 6 pokemon especially in the older games.

Pick 3 out of a team of 6 has been the standard singles format since the Stadium games.
Also 6v6 takes way too long and the game is not balanced around them.

Because they were formats of battle. Singles 6 vs 6 and singles 3 vs 3 are both singles. With all the move animations and stall, no one wants to play one hour games online, you can see it from Gamefreak reducing the time limit from Gen 6 to Gen 7. Stall is also more busted in 6 vs 6 than in 3 vs 3. Dealing with recover spam for 50 turns will turn away people from playing than not having an official 6 vs 6 format.

6v6 Is basically only feasible in showdown. An average match takes 30/45 min or over an hour if at least one player brings stall. Its not enjoyable to spend 30 min in a match only for the opponent to disconect when he starts loosing

Have you ever even played a singles match in your life? Don't you know that before every battle there's a team selection screen?
You carry 6 Pokemon so you have a variety to pick from. Predicting what your opponent will pick and picking accordingly is a big part of both BSS and VGC, it works especially well in a best of 3 format used in VGC Worlds.
Try actually playing the formats before dismissing them.
