I reseted every time the shiny wasn't of timid nature
For the love ball
I used roto catch boost then false swep until 1 HP then z move sleep
If caught it was mere luck and I am grateful for that

I still play but I also still soft reset for my shinies. I know I could just inject but its the principle of the thing. There's just something about getting a shiny through soft resetting that really triggers my accomplishment/pleasure synapses that I don't feel if I just inject or get a shiny through a trade. The pokemon just seems more special to me. I have about 3 boxes worth of shinies and I know how and when I caught every last one of them because of that fact.
