>>36589777>Mew Its design is based around a fetus, with only small hints of it resembling Mewtwo (due to the fact Mewtwo itself was genetically modified to be much stronger and more suited for combat than Mew). Mew is labelled as the "Origin" of all Pokemon and can learn most moves, similar to how a fetus is one of the earliest forms of life biologically and a fetus can develop into almost anything. Mew's Z-Move is called Origins Supernova or Genesis Supernova, and it is shown using psychic power resembling a helix structure (DNA). Mew is supposed to be a metaphor for the origin of all life and DNA.
>Celebi Has a much more elaborate and detailed design than whatever this new Pokemon is. Has many unique features. Most notably, it is a small fairy-like Pokemon with wings resembling a child. Its name, Celebi, is celestial being, referencing how Celebi may be based on an angel.
>Manaphy Manaphy has crown-like appendages on its head to show that it is a prince of the sea. Manaphy was created from the sea and rules the sea, hence its design resembling a water droplet. It is also based on a clione. Its jewel on its chest is its nucleus and gives it unique powers such as Heart Swap.
This Pokemon's design is much more simplsitic in nature and resembles a golden nut on top of some grey-colored slime. It is even more simplistic than the Zygarde Cells and Cores we got a few yeas back.
>>36589781>Really? How are Hoopa and Shaymin Mythical then if we're talking about "small" designs? My point is that Shaymin Land Forme and Hoopa have much more complexity to their designs than this new Pokemon. Compare their designs to that of a small Pokemon such as Pidgey, Roggenrola, Vanillite, etc., and you'll see that Shaymin and Hoopa have many more features in their designs. Game Freak is very careful when they design Mythicals, making sure people understand exactly what they are and their powers just by looking at their designs. This Pokemon design is nowhere as detailed.
