Never used Carracosta, isn't shell smash + aqua jet about the only thing it can do?
That being said, I'm on the postgame myself and can only really talk from experience about Sigilyph. It kinda fell behind for a while but I'm happy I held onto it because it picked up again with later TMs and Cosmic Power, which is actually great on some situations thanks to its natural bulk.
Funny that you only have one special attacker though, it's the opposite on my run.
