Show me a gen 4 route that isn't full of straight lines. Just compare the rivers in the images up there. The gen 4 ones have almost constant width and take only 90 degree turns. Pathetic.

I also think you're over estimating Hoenn here, sure that route is amazing but most of the earlier routes are straight lines and most of the later ones are open ocean.

It has the best first half but then it just turns into water routes towards the end. As far as HM usage goes I thought Sinnoh was worse with it.
