>>36605318Gen V definitely provided the best fan-service to Dark-types, having the most overall (with 16), while also giving Dark-types many new type pairings such as with Ground, Steel, Dragon, and Fighting. Many of the Dark-types introduced in this gen have really high stats and great abilities/movepools, so they are very viable. It also introduced one of the best Elite Four members of all time with Grimsley. Such an amazing generation.
Generation 3 is a distant second, followed by Gen 2, Gen 4, Gen 1 (I count Alolan forms and Mega Gyarados here), Gen 6, and then Gen 7 in dead last, in that order.
