They are also pure Steel-type, which are very rare in this series, so that is a nice bonus.
Whatever 808 is seems to be a golden nut on top of some metallic slime, with an eye in the middle that is most likely capable of manipulating that slime. There is likely some scientific basis behind this design that I am unaware of.
Honestly I could care less if this Pokemon has a shitty design (aside from my complaint with Klinklang earlier losing its other head), as long as the Pokemon are competitively viable and/or unique. If this Pokemon turns out to be yet another pure Steel-type, that's fine with me. If it's Steel/Electric, I'd be fine with it if it were a wall (Togedemaru is a physical attacker; Magnezone is a special attacker). If it has a unique type combination such as Steel/Normal or Steel/Poison, I'd be really fine with it too.
