You'd think they'd be confident in their systems by now - and even if they WEREN'T, and for some reason needed to test out each additional Pokemon they added (I can't imagine why) they could just use one of their existing Pokemon's assets for tests. It is just patently absurd to suggest that they would model and animate an entire Pokemon solely for the sake of testing systems that already work and then throwing away.
