Would be cool if the main Pokémon universe gets sucked up or something and an alternate universe where UBs are just regular Pokémon have to save the main Pokémon universe. That way after the post game they can have an excuse to have the “real” Pokémon in the game/transferable

I can see it as
>new Pokémon from the main universe (the new box legend, or the Nut thing idk) sucks up the universe because it’s hungry or because it’s evil
>word gets to the UBverse that the main universe got sucked
>trainers from the UBverse have to go and beat that Pokémon, to not have their universe sucked
>Gyms will be “tests” in order to see who’s capable of beating a threat that big
>eventually beat the new Pokémon and the main universe is restored, but a wormhole is left open, which leaks into the UBverse and that’s how older Pokémon can be transferred

I would like to imagine the current UBs as final forms that we can't evolve or breed in "our" universe and a game like what you're describing would have them being just normal.
