How come there's such a huge gap in size between the smallest pokémon (10cm) and pokérus (not even a living thing)? Where are the super-tiny things that are still considered pokémon?

Just give it an ability like schooling so the microscopic dudes can form visible colonies. GF can be creative when associating a pokémon's biology/lore with their abilities and stats.

How come there's such a huge gap in size between the biggest pokemon (14.5 m) and the Burned Tower (not even a living thing)? Where are the super-huge things that are still considered pokémon?

I dont think microscopic pokemon would work well, and we already have the reuniclus line that fit the bill of a cellular pokemon. I would like to see something like a slime mold or a biofilm pokemon though. Another cool concept would be a heterotrophic pokemon that secretes enzymes/acid as its exclusive form of attacking

They've constantly been pushing the boundaries of what's considered a Pokemon. In the beginning there was a lingering concept of generic "animals" existing, and now inter-dimensional creatures are counting as Pokemon. I think for gameplay purposes this probably won't end up happening anytime soon, and the best you'll get will be tiny clusters counting as one Pokemon.
