This has already been brought up here a few times and honestly the fact Meltan is referred to as a mythical pokemon means it's been deconfirmed as a Ditto evo.

And even if it is, it's likely going to be like how Diancie is an ""evolved"" Carbink.

That would be somewhat cool to have, but Meltan is confirmed a mythical.
I was hoping our bro would be a Ditto evolution, but unfortunetly it is not.

There were a few rumors going around before the betas were confirmed to be out in the wild that the bear fire pokemon was going to be re-used for Gen 8, along with other unused pokemon designs. And then the beta came out. And now this.

I don't really agree with Ditto actually becoming Meltan because Ditto doesn't really have a connection with metal/magnetism/electricity.

"Mythical" has a specific meaning in relation to Pokemon, though. Mew, Celebii, Jirachi, etc are all called Mythical as opposed to Pokemon like Lugia, Groudon, or Palkia who are considered "Legendary".

He was probably using it correctly, because it's fucking GameFreak, so Meltan is probably the Mythical of lesser Gen 8 (or whatever we're considering Let's Go to be).
