>>36627916Tell me why you think so. Objectively speaking, the latest games have done many things right, or at least have gave us various nice additions.
>Pokemon Amie/Refresh is a better way to interact with your Pokemon that just having them following you>Status conditions and other in-battle aspects being balanced>Trainer customization, language select>Breeding and obtaining better competitive Pokemon has never been easier>Growing Berries and finding rare objects is also pretty neat>Interaction with Pokemon in the overworld and minigames has also been massively improved (riding a random Skiddo, soaring, photos to wild Pokemon, Poke Ride, Mantine Surf)>Despite not having "MUH BATTLE FRONTIER", the games have other side quests and extra activities to do. Rainbow Rocket, Delta Emerald and Looker's case were also fun post-game missions which I'd play any time.>Despite I dislike the pandering in SM, I admire they had the balls to try so many things (Trials instead of Gyms, different final battles for the Elite 4, Ultra Beasts)>Gen 6 had the best online experience ever and a pretty cool variety of Pokemon for Nuzlockes and other stuff>Gen 7 completely removed HMs and Alola forms are a nice concept to make already known Pokemon viable in other waysPersonally, Ultra SM made me enjoy Gen 7 quite a lot.
Of course some previous games had a pretty cool difficulty and way great postgames (especially Platinum and BW2), but most games are shit without a third version.
Yellow is just as bad outside of the improved graphics
Gold and Silver without Battle Tower, animated sprites and female player are quite forgettable
Ruby and Sapphire are nice, but felt like Gold and Silver but with improved graphics in terms of progress
Diamond and Pearl are just painfully slow. They have a lot of secrets, though
Black and White, outside of the story, are quite boring most of the time. BW2, on the other hand, add a lot to the table, but again, fall more in the third version spectrum.
