Decided today I would play FR and SR for shiny starter/legendaries. Unbelievably lucky as this little guy took me about 45 minutes.

Yeah man. I kind of fear that I won't truly appreciate the struggle and will take it for granted since it went so quickly. I'm sure the legendaries will put me in my place though

I just did my first transfer from gen 3 to gen 6 earlier today. So I got my only 2 shinies now sitting in ORAS. Pretty comfy.
Good thing I rebeat gen 4 and 5 again.

Thanks broanon. I sure hope it does. I get that feeling too, it’s just one of those things tho, if you get into a long hunt like that you just gotta think about shit like this Squirtle. I got a Mew in ~400 RAs on my Japanese Emerald and whenever I get into rabbit hole hunts like the one I’m in I just think about those blessed short hunts, and how the next hunt will probably be another one. It rarely is, but it works as a motivational device for me. Anyway, you’re pretty lucky you know, what with the nature and all. Is this your first full odds hunt?

Just buy a gameshark. There was a kid at my school who would gameshark a pokemon and then trade it to you.

My first shiny was in Pearl, it was a Chingling. I was using the Poke Radar to try to get one easily, but it wasn't even one of those patches I encountered it in. I really wanted a shiny Staraptor or Kricketot in that game though.

I didn't get another shiny until X and Y where I got 3. One random encounter on route 7 (Croagunk), one in a Friend Safari (Illumise), and one hatched from an egg (Deino). Sure got easier in newer games.

This happened a couple of years ago. I was playing pokemon with my younger cousin, I had Black and he already had Black 2 so he was sending me some exclusive pokemon. He traded me a Growlithe nicknamed TIGER and because it had such a horrible nickname I popped it in the daycare to get a new one. I got my egg, hatched it and lo and behold, it was a shiny. One of the few times I actually lost my shit because of a shiny.

Nice op. I actually started playing through sapphire a few days ago and SR’d for a shiny Torchic and got it in only 10 SRs. It legit only took me about 5 minutes.

I was dicking around on an emulated frlg and found a shiny krabby, what's a practical way to transfer it into my 3ds cart? I have a ds r4 I can use of need be. I imagine some kind of multistep process with multiple DSs is required since my 3ds isn't hacked
