Why are they releasing this thing in the game designed to pander to the "original 151 are the only real pokemon", "wow pokemon sure is running out of ideas", "ugh too many object mons" not touched a game since gen 1, go-fag crowd?

I'm telling you now, LGPE is going to be the only way to get Meltan and Gamefreak are gonna use it as a way to get money out of the the hardcore fans that don't want to buy the game, like honestly, Gamefreak are so transparent it's not funny, this is going to be how it plays out.

Game Freak are as confused with where to take this series as the fans are. They seem to think Pokemon Go was such a huge hit because it initially focused solely on Gen 1, but if it were the current Gen I'm sure players would have still flocked to it. Imagine if they had released each Gen backwards, starting with the current one, so the final payoff was Gen 1. As someone who grew up on Gen 1 I don't want them to keep focusing on it anymore. It's like all the kids who grew up with Pokemon after that period don't mean fucking shit to them.

Now we're in this situation where they think overly simplistic designs like Gen 1 are what people want, when this thing looks like something Masuda put together while playing around with junk in his desk drawer. They're relying too much on pandering. I really worry for next year's game, if this is the standard they're setting for it.

I'm getting sick of all the Gen 1 references. I just want a solid new game as good as Gen 4 or 5 at the very least and feature new evos/pre-evos for past pokemon instead of that mega-evolution crap which was mostly focused around gen 1 mon. Like a new baby pre-evo for Tauros and Miltank, a third stage for Noktowl, a new evo for Girafarig or Qwilfish, a pre-evo for Duddrigon, Cryogonal, etc etc.

Gen 6 wasn't so bad, it just really needed some tweaks and definitely needed Z to fix it's mistakes.

But yeah, though it's not sneaky or brilliant cause it's expected of Gamefreak to try to get money out of fans any way possible, they know idiots are going to buy the game just to get a Pokemon they probably won't ever use in the Gen 8 games.
