Voltorb is simple but even though it is way less complicated, its whole design synergizes with itself as a fake Poke Ball. Meltan is built from parts that are related to magnetism, but these don't work together well. Magnemite is similar but feels as much better execution, also first generation's designs are much more forgivable, now they have no excuse. Designs have to be more sophisticated, simplicity is welcome but hard to execute.
