But the entitlement was around long before that. Entitlement has always existed in human society; it just didn't reach Pokemon until now. People were bitching about RS, people were bitching about FRLG, people were bitching about DP, people were bitching about HGSS... People never get what they want and they feel like they need more. The entitlement was always there; it's just that this entitlement is much more in the open and prevalent because of social media, which expanded around the time of Gen 5's release.
