From what little I've read, Adventures battles are sort of a middle ground between the games and the anime.
It adheres very closely to game mechanics while still having room for some last minute logic stretching bullshit comeback, usually based on a pokedex entry.

Not at all like the games. It's all about using your pokemon's abilities and skills to the fullest and coming up with great strategies. A game based on Adventures would be near impossible to make, like how most games based on jojo's bizarre adventure don't really hold a candle to it and represent it well.

In what way though? Do you mean the improvised attacks, the gore side of it like that Arbok getting cut in half and those Magmar obliterated into chunks of ice, or the thing I only vaguely remember of the trainers kinda being physically involved the battle as well

You mean, something that is already broken by just reading at it?

Making a game adaptation of a manga that functions on magical yet unlimited power of friendship and the shitfest of asspulls that Adventures has (like pokédexes having the miraclous power to depetrify their holders) is not only impossible but also too boring yet cringy to play.

I do feel as though GF and the anime creators literally don't give a shit because they seem to have a poor understanding of, and take very few creative liberties with, their own IP in the way mangaka do. It's almost like TPCi is obsessed with continuity and brand identity which desu has set it apart from Digimon and stuff but in a way they're just limiting the series
