This is the first time I'm choosing to voluntarily skip a mainline Pokemon title. I wouldn't even play this if someone handed me a free copy. Anyone else?

I skipped USUM as well because that was a blatant cashgrab. This looks like more of the same shit. Completely uninspired, lazy, dumbed down.

It really sucks because Pokemon has always been my favorite game franchise. If they don't step their game up big time for Gen 8, I'm done.

I'm just hoping it's shit because it's a side project being used to rake in the easybux while Lame Freak makes an actual good game.

I thought it would be nice to have so you could offload Pokemon from Go and potentially Bank them for future games. But then "Gen 1 only, lol" and no indication of Bank on Switch. The handholding was the icing on top of the shit sundae. And they expect people to pay $60 for the base game, $50 for a Pokeball-shaped controller/Pokemon Go Plus, or $100 for both bundled.
I honestly believe that TPCI was left holding the bag, not knowing who the hell they were supposed to be catering to, because Masuda was too busy jerking himself off.

Same here. This game actually looks like shit. The casual mode had me saying no, and every update they have makes it look worse and worse. Ill shell out 60 bucks for gen 8, assuming they dont fuck up again. Also this is a spinoff

It's not the first time I've skipped a game as I normally wait for the "Deluxe" version but, I don't have any interest in it. If they revealed that there is a new game hidden under the RBY skin then maybe. If it revolutionized Pokemon battling yes. If the simple graphics was so they could expand Let's Go with DLC to cover all the pokemon world, hell yes. I would buy it 3 time over and play it with the whole family.

Right now it's RBY with better graphics and different less challenging gameplay. I've done it all before. It's not new enough to appeal to me. I already bought Red and Yellow for my 3DS and that's good enough. My batteries had died in my old ones.

I personally think it's a pokemon game for the now adult Gen one kids to play with their children. The choices they made with the game, time it was released, and several other things make me feel that way.

You made the right call, USUM was basically just shitty SM DLC and it should've been DLC instead of another $40 game. I essentially bought Pokemon Moon twice, which I'm okay with since I have 2 3DS's and that just means I can now trade myself but I feel sorry for fags that bought all four carts as though GTS doesn't exist.
