Comparing Gourgeist and Trevenant to Decidueye and Dhelmise is a good way to tell why Gen VI's designs are so much better than Gen VII's. Trevenant is a haunted tree from the lost woods, and Gourgeist is a jack-o-lantern. Then there's Decidueye, some dude in an owl suit that's slightly stealthy, and Dhelmise, an anchor that has algae on it. They don't even look like Grass or Ghost types.
