Probably just going to do Random Encounters in an older game. I haven't done a pre-gen6 shiny hunt in a while.

I don't really hate any shinies. I won a shiny Pansear in a giveaway a few years ago, so I guess that one? I don't mind the pokemon or the shiny, but I didn't get that one myself, so I guess that would be my answer.

Poipole. I failed it at 1,766 Resets, then did 4,096 more, and gave up for a while. But now I'm back at it. Just passed 4,700.

No, I could never. But if I did, I would get one of each member. One shiny Bulba, one shiny Ivy, one shiny Venus.

If your 3DS is hacked, you should set up a randomizer. Set it so you can find it on Route 1, and it calls for other Zeraora. Once you beat Hala and get False Swipe, go back, find one, and SOS it.

UM Zekrom. Have a Dialga prepped on my US ready once I find the Zekrom or need a change in scenery.

No, but kinda doing it inadvertently. I fully evolve the shinies, since the previous evolutions register shiny in the Dex.

I feel like I must be doing something wrong, I'm hunting shiny scatterbug in Y (I just got the game) but I'm about 153 boxes in, and no luck yet, it's actually driving me mad.

I've got a japanese ditto I got in wondertrade and an english scatterbug, that's right for boosting the odds right? I don't think I can complete the pokedex anytime soon as I'm missing nearly everything so shiny charm is out of bounds. Is there any other good way for assuring finding the little shiny bugger? I love him so much.

If anyone has any spare Vivillion patterns I'd love to trade for them too!

That's the thing. I have 3 males and 1 female. I have enough to get the entire line shiny, but not every form shiny. I'm wondering if i should just give the spare male to a friend and tap out on this hunt, going on to something good like Larvesta.

I see the problem, I'd recommend yeah, either taking a break (perhaps go for the rest of today?) and moving onto larvesta, then you can always see how you feel. You may want to go back and try again, or you could decide you don't want every form. Either way, don't rush to give your spare male away, you may regret it if you decide you need him later.

The first Nincada I found. Nex-dav, 11th (10+1) one I found. It used final gambit on the first turn while I was switching to my sleep-inducer. Took almost 2 weeks to find another.

Out of the ones I have caught myself, I like them all. I slightly resent the Magikarp for not being Tentacool, but it's Adamant with great IVs and I didn't even sync it, so all is well.

Almost was a Pinsir in Pelago, but after much fucking around with switching the cart and systems, it stayed. So none as of yet.

A decade ago, I was casually in FireRed's Safari Zone when I found a shiny Nidorino. Fucker fled. I was depressed for a week. I now have a squadron of shiny Nidoran males.

I have a Shiney Magnemite from wonder trade. Only good thing I ever received from wonder trade. Quite cool, but some chuckle-fuck leveled it to 100 so it can’t evolve. Probably hacked anyway.

Shiney Mimikyu. 30 boxes burned on the thing, and I never got it. Picked up one from trades later, but it isn’t the same (and is probably hacked).

Turns out I had saved right after I had grabbed the egg, but I appreciate the advice.

I'll just box him and keep him on deck for a future trade and keep trying for the ideal.
I finally bred the chain to a 5iv BB jolly Female Protean w/ Power up punch.
So now if another shiny pops I have a much greater chance of it being Protean.
