turns being so slow was so annoying
and every area, even some towns, are just nothing but fighting trainers
same as dungeon just one big line of trainers
dont hate the game but I value actual level and dungeon design to put it even in my top 20 gamecube games
Some of its strong points are that it skips the fluff that is the early-game of most Pokemons. Your Pokemon just start at level 25+ and every Pokemon you catch has a full moveset tailored for them (when you purify them)
Shadow Rush being able to make pokemon kill themselves when you have to carefully wittle down the HP bar goes against the design of catching Pokemon. Its just a battle against luck.
Also the AI are retards excluding a few boss fights where the trainers are programmed to use specific stragiest (power swap slaking, earthquake + protect, etc)
Otherwise the trainers have the intelligence of your typical wild Pokemon
