>>36654534Differentposter here but recently caved. I’m only/mostly buying it out of exhaustion from how much everyone is either gobbling it up as a result of having no standards or having to shill for their dumb vidya youtube channel, or shitting all over it to be contrarian while (for the most part) not having played it. I want to see how it is for myself. I’m 1000% buying a used copy off Craigslist or something to avoid contributing to the possible hypercasualization of the series. There are absolutely obvious and gaping flaws in the game, and I’ll be boxing my starter immediately solely because of those cringey ass move names, but I’m not too picky about held items and abilities since they weren’t in Yellow in the first place, I have a decent job/can afford it, I already have a switch and I mostly just want something to hold over until Smash drops since I’ve gotten bored of vgc lately. The video candyeevee made on it recently also made it seem like it may be less of a shitstorm than it did at first glance. Not into the dumb phone game mechanic spillover, but it only seems to be the catching and the berries/lures spilling over, so I’m not that worried about it. To be completely honest I just want to see my boy Haunter follow me around. It doesn’t hurt that the interface of the game itself looks pretty smooth to me too. Mostly just scooping it on the “I’m bored, maybe it won’t be as bad as it looks” tip
