I own all of the games, even ones for systems I don't own because I don't buy knock off PCs. PC + Nintendo handhelds only. I have anywhere from 2 to 5 copies of all of them and I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on the series between the games themselves and various merch over the last 20 years but I am not buying this shit.
I'm on a complete boycott, actually. Since Masuda let us know even the rest of Game Freak didn't want to make Trash Go what it is, I haven't bought anything else from them either and will not unless Gen 8 is at minimum has all of the dozens of things they've removed over the years.
I love Gen 6 personally, though it obviously could've been better and should have been better since the 3DS no longer had the same low limits but I let it slide because I thought for sure it was coming. Understood perfectly well that the move to 3D would've fucked them on development time. Then OR/AS released and gave us insight into the braindead retard actually just content with ruining the series with his completely backwards development logic.
After S/M being rushed out in beta form barely having the main story bits and the direct lies about US/UM though I do not believe they have any intention of making the series as good as they could which we know for a fact is possible for them because they have done it all in the past.
I autistically love them with every fiber of my being. I require relationships to have people at least knowing what Pokémon is even if they're nowhere near as hardcore as I am. The series has literally been a reason not to kill myself in the past but I've already mostly moved on now. I'm not sticking around to watch it die slowly.
A return to Kanto following on from the other major Nintendo series, BotW and Odyssey, returning to their roots and building up could've been so goddamn great and this shit is what we get instead... It's depressing honestly and outside here I try not to remember they even exist.
