All of your friends stopped playing awhile ago, the franchise is at it's all time worse, and there's a number of better franchises to invest yourself into

Yes and? My normie friends just play Fortnite and WoW, my one friend who is almost as autistc as me still plays Pokemon casually as well.

Only one of my friends ever liked it anyway, and I've never been concerned if anyone liked what I do.

Also, the existing games are okay to great. LGP/LGE will be the first objectively bad one. Having moved on from being mainly a player of Pokémon doesn't mean I won't continue to play the old ones.

Or that I don't care about this series that I love.

It becoming a violent druggy because they're parents beat it doesn't mean I don't enjoy my memories of the time before that. It just means I can't stick around and watch it destroy itself.
