>>36663354People (especially here on /vp/) are hypocritical as fuck with their bitching, often complaining about stuff that is benign/more prominent in the games they claim to like.
People acting like cutscenes are a new game-ruining change to the series, when it's just more of the same NPC babble thats been increasingly prominent since the series began.

>>36663388 trying to claim its different and the hate is "justified" when you yourself did primary research and concluded that B2/W2 still takes up more of your time with dialogue and cutscenes than X/Y.
Slightly off-topic, but a similar example is the endless bitching about the typing tutorial in LGPE where you're required to catch Pokémon to show you have seen type differences to progress - People will swear blind that Gen 5 was one of the hardest games, yet completely ignore that B/W had, undeniably, the most blatant, forced, handholdy typing tutorial of all time. The Gym Guide wasn't the "learn typing" roadblock, the entire fucking Gym was, AND they handed an elemental monkey just to shove their educational cock down your throat even harder.
And just to clarify, Gen 5 is my favorite gen and I don't mind the more prominent story or hand-holdy tutorial, these are games that 6-year-olds are supposed to be able to pick up after all. Just giving further thoughts and an example to add to my point that /vp/'s bitching about the games, be it Gen 5, LGPE, anything between or anything before it, should not be treated as worthwhile opinions or facts. It's always best to give things a fair shot and come to your own conclusions.
