Essentially he's well aware of what's going on, he just uses the logic completely backwards.
Take his logic of bringing players together via LGP/LGE and then following a path which sees none of the so-called target audiences they've mentioned actually targeted and a huge rigt appear for making a game primarily people who DO NOT PLAY OR LIKE THE GAMES.
