Anyone else miss when Body Slam was on every pokemon?
There's such something about the move. There's a beautiful simplicity in its short animation, massive distribution and function.
85 base power, hardly the strongest move in Gen 1's meta game, but it carried a decent chance of inflicting one of the most debilitating status moves in the game. Getting paralyzed completely shuts down a lot of pokemon. Also, Body Slam was on every physical attacker. It was THE neutral coverage move, nothing but Golem, Rhydon and Gengar resisted it and even the first two had to be weary of paralysis.
It was pretty much the best move in the game.
