How many soft resets did it take you to get a shiny Celebi in Pokemon Crystal VC?

I'm at 65 and counting right now.
First time ever shiny hunting.

using a modded ds to load a shiny celebii on to it using a computer program. basically cheating, don't bother if your goal is to have the thrill of resetting your console 80,000 times.

Haven't gotten that far in crystal. I am SR for Suicune in US though, not counting resets but I've been at it since the 2nd of July.

I got it after less than 4000 SR. I don't remember the exact number but I have it noted somewhere. Took me like a week, I think.
