BW is the peak of pokémon, along with B2W2 and GSC.

I'd play both, BW2 builds upon BW, and BW offers something pretty unique: there are no old Pokémon until the postgame, so if anything it will feel like a breath of fresh air. BW2 has a wonderful roster of mons from the start, too.

Play both to get a nice view of the whole story.
