>>36677806Oh well, funny you mention Tauros, Alola is the only region in the series so far with wild Tauros that aren't in captivity or farmland, and the dex describes the Alolan's as being the first known humans to domesticate and ride them, so I'd say those in Alola are probably the original native Tauros too.
Also that's fair enough about Cubone, it's just it's the fact that Vullaby are described as being so symbiotic with Cubone, literally nesting in their bones. Literally 50% of the Gen 7 Dex entries for Cubone/Marowak mention Mandibuzz as its predator, or mentioning the fact that Mandibuzz are responsible for killing Cubone's mothers, and two of the entries describe it as Cubone's "natural enemy", which leads me to believe that Mandibuzz must have adapted for years to hunt Cubone. And obviously, that's not happening in Kanto, where Cubone are only found in a single dark little cave near the dead Marowak, with a completely different human-caused explanation, which just doesn't really come off as a natural environment/habitat to Cubone to me.
Feels like Game Freak is sort of retconning in a habitat connection between the lines, similar to Heracross and Pinsir (both have been paired together for a while in this franchise now), and Sableye and Carbink.
