Why are Pokémon refered to as "Pokémon" Rather than "Monsters"? Monsters just sounds cooler and saying pokemon millions of times would just get irritating

"Monster" kind of implies antagonism. Many Pokémon are nice and the whole purpose of the games is to befriend them.

The negative connotation behind the word "monster". The product approval manual even explicitly says to never refer to Pokemon as monsters. "Creatures" however, is acceptable, as it's more neutral and not inherently negative.
