The game is less open and is dragged down by a story as generic as it comes.Visually you can feel that it is just an upgraded Vita game by how bland all the scenery is, even with how unique some of the locations actually are.
Gameplay wise I though it was fine, main differences in my opinion were that you don't have to level Brain to unlock commands this time around, and
your digimon not losing a life when it loses a battle, which is a change I hate
