I think so.
The "usual place" was the floor in this building. Ghost girl and her friend had encountered some danger (an evil spirit or something probably) , friend leaves a message to wait in the usual place to escape said danger, and so she does. Her friend never arrives (she got caught) and ghost girl dies waiting.
