Almost everything running a Z Crystal or Mega Stone is the "actual good item" for them.
There is absolutely no risk, unless you use a Z Move into something immune to that type.

I actually encountered a Lapras holding X Accuracy on Battle Spot. It missed Sheer Cold after I knocked it off then my opponent dc'd. Laughed for a good minute.
