The three legendary trios are also based on that
The movies usually feature french based locations and victinis favourite food being a french dessert.

That's a really weird way to translate ごてごてしたお嬢様
ごてごてした = dressed up excessively fancy or gaudy
お嬢様 = can be an ultra polite way of saying "daughter", but more usually a word for a young woman in a rich family, or more figuratively a girl who's grown up pampered and doesn't know hard work

Yeah the geography isn't really american either, the only bridge based on an american one is skyarrow and even then it's only partially based on it and mostly resembles the Japanese rainbow bridge.
The story is based on Chinese myths and Romulus and Remus.
The evil team is European knights and the trainers are mostly based on things from japan.
The shape of the entire region vaguely resembles ny.

No matter what you say Chinese mysticism, European knights, the tokyo imperial palace (entralink), etc are unique to their particular countries. Quite honestly using them for a shitty burger region is insulting to those places especially not adding the sword of justices into x and y.
