I'm going to just say it: I think the whole "muh overdesign" "muh humanoid bodies" "muh human gimmick" thing is really, REALLY overblown anymore and before I got back into being in Pokemon's active scene again this gen I just saw Pokemon, not fursuits, when it came to them. I don't know why the fandom collectively shit its pants this gen over them when you can see many certain design aspects in them, great and small, that were many earlier generations of starters. God forbid that someone drew a male Primarina or an Incineroar on four legs or a Decidueye flying and the design wasn't a complete overhaul, either, because they're still seeing a sea lion, tiger, and owl at heart and they're NOT an older, jaded furfag like most /vp/ or even Pokemon fans are nowadays.
Jesus this fandom got autistic as fuck this gen on starters. And autistic as fuck in general, even by its embarrassingly low standards.
