I want to play it. I want to go into maximum comfy mode, as snow falls, under a blanket on a sunday morning, and play this game. I want to wander around Kanto, I want to raise Pokemon without worrying about breeding, IVs, or if other people are cheating.


For a little while, I want to remember what it was like to be a Pokemon fan again, even if I wind up hating how they casualized this iteration. I want to learn to accept and move on, and hell I even want to start playing GO again.


But I’m just not ready to leave the “special” Pikachu/Eevee behind once the new games come out. Finally, a super powered starter with cool moves. But it’s going to be fleeting. They’re locked to HM moves, without them the trianer could get stuck in the overworld. I already left Notch Ear Pichu behind and felt like shit. Then it was Cosplay Chu. USUM even had totem Marowak banned from Bank.
